2/27/08 - Demune on the Grimm Image Tour (March 7 - 29)
Ponowai Flora's Demune will be touring the West Coast, Southwest, and Northwest in March with K the I??? (Mush Records), Verble and Nabahe (Grimm Image Records).
The tour begins on March 7th in Lancaster, CA and continues to move through New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Idaho, Washington, Oregon and back to California. There is a rumor that the artists on this tour are also planning on a few gorrilla style showings in SXSW in Austin Texas with Icon the Mic King (let us see!!!).
Demune will be passing out the new Ponowai Flora Sampler Cd like a mad man at every show and also practically giving away the Ponowai Flora Sampler on Vinyl for 5$.

Ponowai Flora is in the mist of completing its sampler vinyl. Side A will be dedicated solely to the sounds of "Standard Issue." Side B will feature tracks from Rushya, Otem Rellik, Demune, and Hungry Giant. If you like bell bottoms and beans, you will hang the artwork on your wall.
As for solo release news.
Three years in the making, chain reaction robot explodes with lung fulls of raw emotion, belted out urgently by otem rellik. This album characterizes otem perfectly and represents a landmark of musical achievement. Entirely constructed by otem, chain reaction robot displays beautiful, sometimes eerie, poetic lyricism with euphonious vocal melodies and warped, deformed and computer processed instrumentation. Otem's mangled beats are also assisted by remarkable vocal contributions from underground hip hoppers Brad Hamers (Token Recluse) and Astronautalis (Fighting Records).
Hungry Giant is at the end of the mix down stage and scheduled to make their first appearance on Ponowai Flora in 2008. I am not sure how much of this project I am allowed to touch on, but if you are a fan of boom bap hip hop this project will turn your head.
Demune is in the creation phase of a split 12" vinyl with d and b / hardcore producer Incinerator and abstract emcee "Wormhole" out of Hawaii. This release will be released by ( super great record label )Diseased Records out of Georgia USA. Artwork will be done by one of the world's best artists also known as "Imaone." Wormhole's side, entitled "Human Adobo" features a variety of producers and Emcees. Ceschi, Noah 23, and Jess-O are some of the emcees that make their pressence known. As usual Wormhole tears hip hop a new arse tunnel with his rapid fire raps. Demune's side, entitled "Pohaku and Hoku" is a story about a gifted young man and his guide Hoku. Set in the modern day it touches on issues in our society and sounds like Public Enemy and Graf Orlock in a grinder. Look for it on Diseased Records in Early 2008.

Sorry for leaving you hanging for so long. We have a lot to catch up on.
Soon after the release of Demune's "Fossils" remix album, Ponowai Flora toured Germany and France. Playing Eight shows in roughly two weeks. Otem Rellik, Ancient Mith, and Demune all agree that it was a great experience and are planning to tour Europe again in 2008.
While on tour they caught footage of their own travels and performances, as well as performances from groups like Le Pingouin, Materpfahl, Motionless, and Audio 88. Otem Rellik set the full DVD's release for this winter. Here is a trailer to keep you hungry.
